How it Started, and How It’s Going
Before I tell you how I got to being a Pickleball coach, club organizer and consultant, here are some quick links for resources I have:

From Desk Jockey to Recreational Player
I started learning to play Pickleball in September 2022. I was pretty much a desk jockey working on my computer in my home office in FinTech. As the pandemic slows down enough for me to see people in real life again, I was looking for something health to do. Took a class at the Lexington Recreation Program (which now I teach) in the fall of 2022. Started playing on the gym floor with portable nets at LifeTime Burlington started to offer Pickleball. It did not take long for me to get hooked.
From Recreational Player to Coaching
In the spring of 2023 I attended a PPR Coaching certification workshop and got my PPR Coach certification. Immediately I felt like giving back to the Town of Lexington Recreation that got me started in Pickleball. I offer to provide actual coaching at their program. I have been running the beginner and advanced beginner classes since. I must have taught several hundred people Pickleball.
I also run workshops for advanced beginners and intermediate players, getting them to 3.5+ level at the Lexington Pickleball Club.
From Club Member to Club Founder
It would not be a surprise that I am a member of several Pickleball and Athletic Clubs. At the same time I started playing Pickleball, I want to get my town, Lexington Massachusetts to provide better and more Pickleball facilities to the residents. A few of us met and founded the Lexington Pickleball Club in early 2023. I have an amazing board.
